The Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for helping to eliminate minor stops and equipment breakdowns. A qualified candidate will keep equipment in a good state of repair and avoid production downtime by performing preventive maintenance and unscheduled maintenance and repairs, as needed. Maintenance Technician Leads are also responsible for managing Maintenance Technicians while maintaining and repairing specialized process equipment; including availability for on-call services outside of regular hours. This role will also be responsible for managing and carrying out preventative maintenance duties throughout the facility. The Maintenance Technician Lead has the primary role of ensuring safety and completion of required property and equipment maintenance as necessary, while carrying out training to maintenance technicians and operators, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.


Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required:

  • Responsible for general repairs and maintenance of specialized machinery and mechanical equipment such as rebuilding pumps or troubleshooting equipment.

  • Training and mentoring technicians.

  • Providing on-call services for production personnel outside of regular hours.

  • Management of maintenance requests, preventive maintenance scheduling and ensuring completion of duties in a timely manner.

  • Organizing parts and other inventory items within the warehouse

  • Completing PM documentation and documenting work that maintenance department identifies as a need

  • Participating in various meetings and completing additional projects and tasks as requested

  • Working closely with Production and/or Engineering to monitor equipment status and performance; making recommendations and performing equipment upgrades as appropriate.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

  • Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

Qualification and Requirements

  • Basic usage of hand tools and the ability to understanding troubleshoot equipment problems

  • 10 years of experience as a maintenance technician or similar position

  • Excellent work ethic

  • Work well with others as a team

  • Ability to lift at least 75lbs

  • Good communication skills and solid interpersonal skills

• Sanitary pipe experience – assembly, design, implementation

• Understanding of wiring diagrams, blue prints, engineering prints, etc

Wage: $20-$30 hourly DOE
